What the price depends on
- The size of the unit, since glass is priced by area with a minimum charge
- The glass specification: clear, low emissivity, toughened, laminated, obscure or acoustic
- Pattern matching such as Georgian bar, leaded or textured obscure glass
- How many units are being replaced on the same visit
- Access, including upper floors, conservatory roofs and bay windows
- The condition of the frame, beading and drainage once the old unit is out
Typical ranges we see
Most standard household windows fall in the lower ranges below. Large bays, conservatory roof panels and safety glass in doors and side panels sit higher, and doing several units in one visit brings the price per unit down.
Why this beats a new window
A new uPVC window typically runs into several hundred pounds fitted, and a full house into thousands. If the frame is sound and the hardware works, a sealed unit swap buys years of further service for a small fraction of that.

Does replacing the glass affect my window guarantee?
The new unit carries its own manufacturer guarantee and our workmanship guarantee covers the fitting.
Can I upgrade the glass rather than just match it?
Yes, and it is the cheapest moment to do so. Low emissivity, acoustic, obscure and safety glass can all be specified in the new unit.
